Warning and disclaimer

We do not condone the use of the following technique. However we provide it because it is preferable to consuming large amounts of chemicals such as paracetamol, which some people actually do in an attempt to consume Codeine.

It should be noted that this is hardly a medical grade procedure. However if followed correctly it should eliminate the vast majority of paracetamol. We shall only suggest its use for paracetamol, it may not work with other chemicals and it does NOT work with asprin. It will also not remove caffeine from solutions contain that chemical.

Theory

Very simply, the method works because codeine dissolves in water, while paracetamol does not.

The method

Put your tablets (such as panadeine forte) in a container. Add approximately 3ml of cool water per tablet. If you require further liquid, it is okay to add another 10-15ml.

Stir the tablets for a minute or two then place them in a freezer. Open the freezer from time to time to give them a stir.

After 20 minutes (the solution should not be frozen) remove the solution from the freezer.

Get another container to pour the liquid into. Also get a tea towel without any holes.

Place the tea towel over the top of the second container, push it inwards slightly, so that its slightly curved downwards.

Pour the solution into the tea towel, make sure the tea towel does not fall into the container and captures all of the solution.

Wait about 5-10 minutes until there is no noticeable liquid, only mushy gunk left in the tea towel. Dispose of the gunk safely, and wash the tea towel very well.

The solution you should have in the bottom is now almost entirely water and codeine. It will taste very bitter and unpleasant. Some people add sugar to make it less pleasant, when you consume it I suggest drinking it very quickly to avoid taste. Some people may gag.
